I’m an "East Coast born and San Francisco Bay Area raised” artist. I grew up amongst creatives including my mother, a sculptress who attended the NY School of Music and Art and filled our home with beauty.
I’ve always had a creative side yet didn’t fully allow it to blossom until my years working amongst other creatives at Industrial, Light and Magic and Pixar Animation Studios. Inspired by some of the best talent in the world, I dove head first into the world of mosaics (and many other mediums) always focusing on the idea of trying to use materials that were already here on Mother Earth. I loved the “jigsaw puzzle” aspects of mosaics and then found working with tin and I’ve never looked back.
I refer to my process as “painting with tin” and I love the challenge of creating in reverse, from the background layer up, as each new layer allows the pieces to come to life.
